Éric Nado

Éric Nado, The Remington Trilogy, Assembly-disassembly, reconstructive sculpture, Each piece sized: 12x30 inches / 31x76 cm

Éric Nado transforms and reorganizes certain objects to reveal other possibilities through their forms or intended functions. Using iconic metal objects such as typewriters and sewing machines, Nado materializes concepts such as labor and memory. Filled with nostalgia, the objects he transforms into sculptures tell compelling stories.

Gavin Mitchell

Gavin Mitchell, Aces High, Hand finished pigment screen print onto birchwood ply, with gold leaf and resin, 180x96 inches / 457x241 cm
Gavin Mitchell, Taking the Mickey, Hand finished pigment screen print onto birchwood ply, with gold leaf and resin, 160x96 inches / 406x241 cm

Gavin Mitchell’s portfolio is always ‘work in progress’ whether creating art or observing (sketches). Having graduated with a BA (Hons) Fine Art, Gavin Mitchell chose to take an extended sabbatical from sugar tints, soft grounds, solarisation and f-stops to concentrate on getting a proper job. However a career in design and production, whilst allowing him, within reason to indulge in creative fantasies, never really fully satisfied his artistic appetite. Gavin Mitchell returned to be a full-time artist, to use his talents as a photographer, printmaker and collagist in an attempt to create images that resonate and appeal.

Hugo Garcia Urrutia

Hugo Garcia Urrutia, Golden Opportunity, Oil lacquer paint and acrylic mirror on carved maple, 52x72 inches / 132x183 cm

"Using nature and geometry as a starting point, I am interested in the notion of a wave, a synchronized flock of birds, a silk fabric soothingly moving with the wind. Then I challenge myself to try to mimic these noble forms…This series derives from repetitiveness of a simple component like the triangle. As a whole, it produces a sort of wavy effect in which I can play with the shades and shadows. By cutting a simple rigid coloured plane in a precise way, my “canvas” becomes sculptural and organic." - Hugo Garcia Urrutia

ERIN CONE

Erin Cone, Impel, Acrylic on canvas, 36x48 inches / 91x122 cm
Erin Cone, Perserverance, Acrylic on canvas, 40x40 inches / 102x102 cm

Erin’s paintings have captured a fusion of aesthetics all her own - combining the compositional strength of abstraction with the emotive power of magical realism to create something completely new.

“I emphasize visual impact over narrative context, focusing on the subtle orchestration of my subject within a framework of design. I create a deliberate push-and-pull between near-photorealistic detail and my own vocabulary of visual glitches that challenge that very realism. This duality is central to my work and allows the figures I paint to remain wholly representational while functioning abstractly - evoking emotion without defining it.” - Erin Cone

Minas Halaj

Minas Halaj, Butterfly #10, Oil, gold and mixed media on wood panel, 62x48in / 158x122cm

Fabian Solymar DAGOR is a leading figure in Venezuelan Street Art, translating his research into geometric abstraction and typography as he deconstructs iconic languages of representation and thus his works constitute a universe of reductionist abstraction which echoes the visual languages of modernity while also inserting itself in a deeply contemporary geometry. His research is transported to paintings on canvas, wood assemblage and Muralist interventions. For DAGOR Muralism plays a very important role in his practice, he believes fervently in the positive impact of public art on the culture and welfare of people, creating spaces that can offer a sense of community, places for contemplation and spaces to cement identities.

Anne Siems

Anne Siems, Flowers & Insects & Nest, Watercolour on paper 24x18 inches / 61x46 cm

“The bald women who are the subject of these artworks are experiencing deep vulnerability. Hair loss is often impactful, especially for women. I wanted to show vulnerability but while each woman faces the viewer head on, showing strength and courage rather than victimhood. We are all hungry for deep authenticity in sharing ourselves with all our awes, insecurities and fears. Poetry has been the companion to these transitional experiences tattooed on their bodies. Sharing our stories makes us connected and strong.” Anne Siems
