Michele Mikesell

Michele Mikesell, Jennas' Fancy Hat Party, Oil on canvas, 35x35 in / 90x90 cm

“Creating individuals is what I find most interesting in the studio. It is my hope that these portraits will be familiar characters to the viewer, subjects we recognize and identify with. My work consistently travels along a general vein of the universal human experience. Irony, contradiction, humor and tragedy, have been continued themes in my work and are illustrated not only within the image, but within the actual paint and surface of the painting." - Michele Mikesell

Guillaume Cornet

Guillaume Cornet, Everything Must Go & Rooftop Favelas, Rotring pen and markers on paper, 30x22 inches / 76x56 cm

Guillaume Cornet is an artist working with illustration and painting, exploring notions of abstract geometry, influenced by surreal perspectives plus architecture, to construct sometimes monochrome but mostly colourful and vibrant visual spaces. His works tend to be filled with intricate characters positioning themselves in unexpected geometrical environments. Creating a humorous visual language, he frequently depicts unusual and bizarre situations. “As an Illustrator, I have always worked with Characters/Creatures to communicate my inner thoughts, ideas, emotions and situations. At some point, I wanted to create an environment for my creatures to grow, a place where I could let my imagination conquer the entire paper.” - Guillaume Cornet

Betsy Enzensberger

Betsy Enzensberger, Rose Sprinkle Pop, Resin, glitter, ink and wood, 10x6 inches / 25x15 cm

"Everything is made from cast resin, which is medium that I discovered about 15 years ago. Once I got my hands on this mysterious new material it was instant love. Someone asked me recently why I love resin so much. I mean, it’s messy, toxic and notoriously difficult to use. The challenge is what interests me. Overcoming obstacles, making mistakes then fixing them, being challenged by environmental conditions, injuries, studio disasters. These are all daily occurrences. In the end, I’m left with this beautiful, nostalgic, colorful, glittery sculpture. It’s a love affair." - Betsy Enzensberger

Patsy McArthur

Patsy McArthur, Performance I & II, Ink wash and charcoal on paper, 35x35 inches / 42x32 cm

Patsy McArthur explores the grace and power of human movement in her naturalistic drawings and paintings. This dynamic charcoal drawing embodies Summer by suitably expressing a sense of freedom and fun. McArthur uses a monochrome palate which serves to strip the image down and without colour to seduce, it in turn focuses on the energy content.

DAGOR

Dagor, Dimenzio 0017, Acrylic on canvas, 170x145 inches / 432x368 cm

Fabian Solymar DAGOR is a leading figure in Venezuelan Street Art, translating his research into geometric abstraction and typography as he deconstructs iconic languages of representation and thus his works constitute a universe of reductionist abstraction which echoes the visual languages of modernity while also inserting itself in a deeply contemporary geometry. His research is transported to paintings on canvas, wood assemblage and Muralist interventions. For DAGOR Muralism plays a very important role in his practice, he believes fervently in the positive impact of public art on the culture and welfare of people, creating spaces that can offer a sense of community, places for contemplation and spaces to cement identities.

Anne Siems

Anne Siems, Flowers & Insects & Nest, Watercolour on paper 24x18 inches / 61x46 cm

“The bald women who are the subject of these artworks are experiencing deep vulnerability. Hair loss is often impactful, especially for women. I wanted to show vulnerability but while each woman faces the viewer head on, showing strength and courage rather than victimhood. We are all hungry for deep authenticity in sharing ourselves with all our awes, insecurities and fears. Poetry has been the companion to these transitional experiences tattooed on their bodies. Sharing our stories makes us connected and strong.” Anne Siems
