ALL FOR ONE + ONE FOR ALL
is an event where YOU, among other artists and aficionados, can participate by adding your artistic touch to a large canvas for 4 weeks! On July 9th, this collaboration-creation will be auctioned during the DECORAZON opening at the Belmont Hotel. 50% of the proceeds will go directly to the Global Health Society, an organization dedicated to helping children with hemophilia throughout the world.
At Global Health Society, Inc. (GHS) our Mission is to empower individuals with chronic diseases, giving them the tools to manage their diseases and live a long, healthy and more fulfilled life through innovative programs, education and advocacy.
Global Health Society has a five-year commitment to deliver medical relief and identify and develop local leaders who can run camps in the countries where we are present. Our programs are tailored to the individual cultural needs, while using a successful experiential bleeding disorder camp model. Our skilled directors, leaders and clinicians, armed with an array of medical and educational policies, procedures and materials, including a comprehensive training manual for camp personnel, foster growth by educating staff and providing the tools to help viably sustain the development of camp, once a solid foundation is put into place.
In August, MK Semos + Hugo Garcia will participate in a summer camp for children with hemophilia, in Villa Hermosa, Mexico, and will organize art activities for the kids. Using photography, the day-to-day creative process of the "All For One + One For All" painting will be documented and shown in Mexico during this Summer Camp.
GHS started in 2005 when one of it's founders, and long-time friend, Lee Hall, delivered 800,000 IU's of clotting factor, medical supplies and educational resources to Iasi, Romania. Because of this trip, they have now delivered medication to Romania, Mexico and Nigeria. In 2006 a three-person team from GHS went to Romania to work with the youth and medical clinics, while delivering more than 700,000 IU's of factor. GHS was responsible for delivering a million dollars in hemophilia medical supplies to Mexico last year.
